La Bagatelle Restaurant is a French family run restaurant, using quality sourced ingredients from Scotland and France, which are freshly prepared for you on order.
Taking time is all part of the experience at La Bagatelle.
We have in the past been at the mercy of the food critics for our decor, hand on heart these same critics have had nothing but praise for our food, so if you are into interior design we are perhaps not for you. But if food is your thing then we have venison, rabbit, pheasant, pigeon, fish, pork, lamb and beef, all locally sourced, cooked with french style.
Chef proprietor Christophe Pelletier trained in Dijon, advanced his culinary expertise working for the Rothschilds the Swedish Royal Palace and a plethora of well known Edinburgh restaurants including the Queensway, Creperie Francais, l'Etoile to name but a few. His love of cooking reflects in the time and care taken to prepare each dish.
His partner Karen Perschke trained at Duncan of Jordanstone and gained experience at the Bruar Falls Hotel, Moulin Hotel, the Crusoe, Lower Largo and Dunfermline College of Physical Education.

Wednesday to Saturday Lunch 12.00- 2.00
Dinner Wednesday and Thursday 6.30 - 9.00
Friday and Saturday 6.30 - 10.00
We will open earlier for our early evening menu on request
Monday and Tuesday closed (except during the festival and Christmas)
